Robertson at the Academy in 1981 after a brief stint with the Los Angeles International Film Exhibition (FILMEX), and the second in command of the organization in 1989 when he was appointed Executive Director. In this position oversaw the development of the Academy, and a library and archive film, public relations and marketing, legal issues, and many of the events associated with prices and activities.
"After Bruce very valuable as a guide for me," Robertson said. "It will be me also turn to the new position of management and partnership with the dawn, and we help in the next chapter of the Academy in writing."
